Joan Phillips was born in Portland, Oregon but has spent most of her life in California, where she earned her bachelors degree with an emphasis in business. She has worked in the real estate financial industry for well over a decade.
She began her career in the industry as an Escrow Assistant, and was promoted to full Escrow Officer in less than 6 months. Because her escrow responsibilities included notary signing services, Joan quickly secured her California State Notary Public License. After serving several years as an Escrow Officer while preforming notary signing services on the side, she decided to start her own business as a Notary Public Signing Agent. In less than 2 months she had created a successful and profitable loan signing business.
As a Notary Public Signing Agent, Joan enjoyed the benefits of an increased income, fewer work hours, and less stress. In addition to holding her California State Notary Public License, Joan went on to earn her California Real Estate Sales Person’s License. While continuing to offer notary signing services as a Loan Signing Agent, she also began to work as a Real Estate Agent and Loan Officer. Joan is currently a Real Estate Broker specializing in Mortgage Mediation. She has also studied and trained as a Real Estate Appraiser and is close to receiving her full licensing appointment.
